  Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council receives the Chief Executive of Bahrain Economic Development Board

The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani received on Wednesday, 10 July 2019, at his office in the GCC headquarters in Riyadh, the Chief Executive of Bahrain Economic Development Board, HE Khalid Al Rumaihi and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, they discussed means to intensify the efforts to strengthen the GCC Joint Work in the economic, trade and investment fields, enhancing the economic integration, and overcoming the obstacles to achieve further economic growth in the GCC States; as well as relations of joint cooperation between the GCC and Bahrain Economic Development Board in various economic fields, including consolidating the efforts in regional and international forums.
The Secretary-General commended the efforts made by the Bahrain Economic Development Board to develop economic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the world, and the advantages the Kingdom of Bahrain provides to attract foreign investments and encourage national investments in various economic and development fields. He noted that the business environment in the Kingdom of Bahrain has many competitive advantages, and expressed his pride in the efforts exerted by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander and Chairman of the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), to achieve Bahrain's 2030 Economic Vision and strengthen the economic standing of the Kingdom of Bahrain at the regional and international level.
The meeting was attended by, Mr. Khalifa Bin Saeed Al-Abri, the Assistant Secretary General for Economic and Development Affairs, Mr. Hamad Al Ammari, Executive Director of the Middle East and North Africa of Bahrain Economic Development Board, Ms. Rima AlKilani, Director of WEF projects, Ms. Hanouf Al-Issa, Director of Planning and Monitoring at the GCC Economic and Development Affairs Authority, and Ms. Iman Al-Madi, Head of the GCC Follow-up division for the Implementation of Economic Integration Projects.
