The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, accompanied by Mr. Hamad Rashid Al Marri, the Assistant Secretary-General for Legislative and Legal Affairs, participated on Wednesday, 30 January 2019, in a workshop entitled" the Copyright and Related Rights regionally and internationally", organized by the GCC in cooperation with the Arab Lawyers Union, and attended by a number of the Gulf lawyers and members of the GCC.

The Secretary General expressed his appreciation for the joint cooperation between the GCC and the Arab Lawyers Union to organize this advanced workshop, and commended its selected subject that deals with an important aspect of intellectual property, the copyright and related rights.

The Secretary General also expressed his thanks and appreciation to the participants and their keenness to expand their knowledge in this important field; pointing out the progress the GCC made in regards to intellectual property, copyright and patents in order to enhance economic and commercial growth and promote creativity and innovation in the GCC States.
