As part of the Gulf Network for Quality Assurance of Higher Education plan to promote its activities, and objectives, HE Dr. Khamis Saleh Al Balushi, Director General of the GNQAHE visited on Monday, 7 January 2019, the National Bureau for Academic Accreditation and Education Assurance (NBAQ) in Kuwait.

During the meeting they discussed mechanism and methods to improve the GCC higher education system, and means of cooperation and coordination to enhance the GCC integration and collaborative work. The GNQAHE Director General gave a brief on the GNQAHE establishment and its objectives to further the coordination among the GCC concerned authorities, its recent activates, and the importance for the NBAQ to participate in these events in the future. After that, the NBAQ specialists gave a presentation on the establishment of the National Bureau for Academic Accreditation and Education Assurance, and its organizational structure. They stressed the NBAQ keenness to cooperate and coordinate with GNQAHE in all that serves the GCC joint work.

The GNQAHE Director General also met with Dr. Habib Taher Abel, Secretary General of the Private Universities Council, where he briefed him on the GNQAHE establishment and its objectives. The Secretary General of the Private Universities Council stressed the GNQAHE important role in consolidating the GCC efforts sharing educational experiences and transfer knowledge to other GCC members, looking forward to cooperate with the GNQAHE in the coming period.

The meeting was attended by a number of members of the Gulf Network for Quality Assurance of Higher Education, the National Bureau for Academic Accreditation and Education Assurance, and the Private Universities Council.
