The GCC Girl Guides Committee concluded on Wednesday, 6 February 2019, the 24th Meeting, on the sidelines of the 9th Gulf Camp (for her world), held from 1 to 8 February 2019, in Muscat, Oman; attended by, Dr. Yaqoub bin Khalfan al Ndabi, Director-General of the Scouts and Girl Guides Directorate, and the GCC representative, Counselor Salehah Al Ali, from the Counselors Division.
The meeting started with a welcoming speech delivered by HE Hind Al-Houli, head of the GCC Girl Guides Committee, and Director of the Kuwait Girl Guides Association. Then, they discussed the most important issues on the agenda, including; the camp closing ceremony, and honoring the founders of the Girl Guides Committee for 20 years, under the patronage of HH Basma Bint Fakhri Al Said, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques vision on encouraging volunteerism, and arbitrates the volunteerism Contest and announce the results. They also reviewed the achievements of the committee within 20 years, and approve the Girl Guides next meeting to update the curricula (together we renew our programs).
It is worth mentioning that a ceremony will be held to honor the founders, collaborators and supporters of The GCC Girl Guides Committee on Thursday, 7 February 2019.
