The GCC Committee of the Gulf common market held on Wednesday, 13 March 2019, at the GCC headquarters, in Riyadh, the 25th meeting, with the participation of representatives of the GCC, all Member States, and GCC Chambers of Commerce.
During the meeting they discussed several issues, including; the GCC Ministerial Council's Resolution (143) mandated the Committee of the Gulf common market to follow-up its implementation with other technical committees, submit their report to the GCC Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee in preparation for submitting it to the Economic and Development Affairs Authority; and in this regard they discussed the report form and its components. They also discussed the GCC proposal on the development of remedies to the challenges facing the Gulf common market in view of its progress and growing movement that requires concerted efforts.
During the meeting the GCC-STAT gave two presentations on what has been implemented of the 10 Gulf common market fields so far, one on the first and second phases of its ground study, and the other on the work plan for its third phase.
